Photo Summary App v2 is now available. Learn more about the new features and the history of the app below.
New / Improved Features
Photo Summary App v2 includes a bunch of new functionality including:
- Move / resize text on screen
Previously you could “kind of” do this on Android with Pro Mode but it wasn’t a great experience and wasn’t available on iPhone. - Better template designs
Including two column layout (brand new), plus design flourishes like the separator line (previously iPhone only) - Support for modern file formats like HEIC etc
Previously opening HEIC files like those shot with an iPhone just didn’t work, now they work great - More customisation options
You could choose a font before but couldn’t preview the font, now you can. Plus you can control the amount of blur - Support modern phone features and improved design
EG: Liquid Glass on iPhone and modern Android design guidelines. Animations when saving images.
Features added since v2.0
- Improved stability and performance
- ‘Width mode’ if you long press on the image. Changes resizing from ‘scaling’ to ‘adjust text width’
- ‘Open in Photo Summary’ from you gallery app when looking at a photo
- Add TikTok as a text option
- Option to open ‘files’ instead of ‘images’ in settings, which makes it easier to find images in places like Google Drive on an iPhone

As a modern app Photo Summary App v2 requires:
- iOS 18 or newer
- Android 11 or newer
If you have an older device that doesn’t support these OS you can continue to run v1 of Photo Summary App forever.
Pricing
I promised that there would never be subscriptions or upgrade pricing.
PSA v2 is a free upgrade for anyone who has already purchased Photo Summary App.
This took a lot of time so I’d really appreciate a positive review on the App Store if you love it!
Feedback / The Future
I believe this already offers everything v1 did and more. I’m not finished yet and will continue releasing updates. Updates should flow faster now that I don’t have to program everything twice in two different programming languages. If you have any suggestions or feedback use the Contact Us form on the homepage.
